It’s All About Giving Back

A presentation from the TCU PRSSA Bateman Case Study competition team and an overview of the More Life Festival, the chapter’s community service project for the second quarter of the year, will highlight the April meeting.

Two of the nine students on the Bateman team will present their 10-page entry, an analysis of a campaign to promote Chevrolet’s Safe Kids Buckle Up program. TCU is competing against teams from across the nation; General Motors representatives will judge the contest. Teams that make it through PRSA’s mid-April round advance to final judging May 2. Dr. Amiso George, APR, with TCU’s Schieffer School of Journalism will present the students.

The More Life Festival, May 10-June 7, is a collaboration between the AIDS Outreach Center, the Fort Worth Opera, Samaritan House Tarrant County, the AIDS Interfaith Network and more than 20 arts, science and education organizations to educate the community about the wide-reaching impact of HIV/AIDS. Jake Yarbrough, group director, GCG Advertising, will provide details about the festival and the chapter’s involvement.
